Digital signage make it possible to build a real and extremely thematic “TV channel” which aims to be, typically, an information channel in retail shops, sales points or during events of limited time and space.

TV channels made with digital signage, unlike traditional channels, often do not have their target audience sitting in front of the TV set, and therefore being “eye-catching” is quintessential. Contents of successful digital signage must be able to catch the attention of “anyone passing by” and deliver a message within a millisecond of a causal eye contact. In addition, TV advertisements are usually considered “commercial” while in a different context (in a retail shop, for example), the same content can be seen as “informative” and consequently more interesting and with more credibility.

Consideration and reflection upon difference such as above mentioned, force people like us, coming from the TV world, to study again and review from time to time the method of producing images and contents for such a new medium. Challenging, but with great and rewarding results for those who dare to confront and do their best to be innovative.
